I just got another phone call from out-of-state about our race with questions about the track configuration. It is going to be the Grande configuration which will also be used at the Pan Am race in early October. Here is a link to the track map:

 Shaded
The shaded areas on the event schedule refer to "Sunday Only Rotax Qualifiers". To be absolutely clear, these are Rotax drivers that can not make it to the Saturday Qualifying session.
On Sunday:
Saturday Rotax Qualifiers will be part of Sessions 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Sunday Rotax Qualifiers will be part of Sessions 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6. Session 4 is tricky. You will qualify in group 1 or 3, and run heat 1 in groups 7, 8, or 9.
Again, you can find the raceday schedule and entry forms on the downloads tab.

Regarding pit spots. Any LAKC member who has a reserved pit spot for 2010 will retain their spot for this event. as usual, your reserved pit spot is good for BOTH Saturday and Sunday. Nothing will change in regards to the fees for overnite camping or leaving your trailer overnite. If you do not have a reserved pit spot, are new to LAKC or have any questions regarding the pit situations check with Chris LaTorre prior to your arrival. Last thing we all want is a bunch of rigs and trailers parked in the incorrect spots come Saturday morning.

 More on Pit Spots
We are working on updating our pit spot map and a current version will be available at track registration on Saturday morning. There will be plenty of good pit spots available for the Gatorz and Pan Am practice racers and those open spots will be cleary indicated on the map. If anybody needs help with pit spot issues, I will be at the track all day Saturday and can be contacted on my cell phone at 562 544-6069.

Wow! What a great event. I'm sure everyone will agree that this was one great weekend. Too bad Robert Reehl missed it.
