Thanks ET, looking forward to following you around, question, where does the 440lbs rule come from? Why 440 lbs?
Steve

weight rule is pending final decision by LAKC; LAKC has not made the final decision on exactly what the minimum weight will be for the DeluXXe Shifter class but a proposal range of 430-440lbs has been made.
The 440lbs weight was an average weight used when a calculation of 13 drivers was done a few years ago.
Chassis = approx 210lbs
Drivers Gear = 9-13lbs (shoes, gloves, drivers suit, helmet, neck brace)
Drivers 185-271lbs
Average of 13 drivers(220lbs) + safety equipment(10lbs) + chassis (205) = 435lbs. The heavier of the group fought for the 5lbs and the rule weight was limited at 440lbs.
In addition to the above information there was a shifter class running at 405lbs and the organizer wanted to make it a big leap for someone to add 35lbs onto their kart to race in the 440lb class.
Steve, I trust you but not my wife so I will tell you. Just between you and I, I cross my bathroom scale butt naked at 261lbs, and yes it's pure sexiness. LOL

 Re: 01 CR 125
Hey Elbert,
That 125 is for a motorcyle. The CR125's we are all running in karts is a "kit motor" that is built from a special list of parts from the Honda parts inventory. Just putting a moto engine onto a kart does not work out.

Greg with a little work, they can be transformed into a kart motor and the current bid on that motor is only $615.00

BlackBullet - i would suggest that you guys lower the age limit to 30 (or just eliminate the age limit) - i would imagine strong likelyhood that driver meeting the minimum weight is an 'older' adult, no? Do like the name very much.

Mr. King - That is definetly something to consider. And if needed at a later time or another season then the Age minimum can be discussed for implemenation.
Any comments from the readers about removing the Age Minimum?
