Today, LAKC is presenting Chase McDaniel with the 2010 KPV-1 Championship. He will share this title with our current champion. It is clear to all parties that this is the best resolution. We have agreed that spending more time on the nuances of the race day events and interpreting the rulebooks is no longer necessary. We are grateful for the time our officials, IKF, and the karting community have spent on this matter, and we regret how long this process has taken. LAKC has made changes to their local option rules to prevent this in the future, such as very clearly stating the limited circumstances when the board of directors shall get involvement. Congratulations Chase for a great KPV-1 season.
