 Dan Weldon Memorial Lap - 10/25/2011 Question, how difficult would it be to organize a memorial lap in honor of Dan Weldon.
All karts on the track at one time!
This could be a HUGE!

Re: Dan Weldon Memorial Lap - 10/25/2011 Just Imagine, 100 karters taking a "SLOW" lap around CalSpeed Karting Track for the Memorial of Dan Wheldon, a man, a father, a Karter.
This could be easily regulated by giving drivers a 10 minutes window to make the track. "Idle speed" would be the speed with a golf kart out front to set the pace.
Close your eyes, can you see it,
How about turning you channels to the Speed Channel, or local channels of 2, 4 or 9 and seeing your club, LAKC, giving thanks to one of our own.

Re: Dan Weldon Memorial Lap - 10/25/2011 It would definitely be a very awesome sight to see and it would be honor to participate. I just dont know when they would be able to fit in... If anything maybe after all the racing is done at the end of the day we could stay late and do it. I know I will be wearing something to honor his memory.
My lady and I were there at the LVMS this weekend and let me tell you it s something that is unfortunately burned into your memory. It was a horrifc crash and Im amazed that some drivers were able to walk away from that. Dan Wheldon will be greatly missed.

Re: Dan Weldon Memorial Lap - 10/25/2011 Since when where there Rules to a Tribute? I believe we should take the Track 1st thing in the morning in Honor of Dan and His Family and shorten our Race Day if needed. E.T. great idea, let's pull this off as a Race Club.

Here is another organization stealing my idea and I know who it was as I talked to them about having the turn marshalls waving custom designed flags in DW honor.
