June Championship Points

Due to some impressive driving this past week, there are several classes that are tightening up very nicely. The top drivers are certainly going to have to step up their game going into the second half of the season. Here are some highlights:

Aden Dodge picked up ground in Kid Karts and is only 11 points back of first place driver Carson Mallett.

Cameron Kaihatu picked up ground and is only 6 points back of first place driver Johnny Dressler in Junior 1.

Steve Berg and Troy Starheim jumped to 1st and 2nd place, respectively with strong performances on Sunday. Troy is just 2 points behind Steve.

Skylar Estrada is now just 10 points back from 1st place driver Aaron Aguirre in PRD Junior 2.

Anthony Sawyer's win in PRD Junior 1 got him to within 4 points of leader Ryan Shartau.

With a win in Rotax Senior Pilot, Michael Middleton moved to first place and is just 2 points in front of Brian Sutherland.

Willy Musgrave moved into first place with a win in Honda (S4). He's just 9 points in front of Erik Jackson.

Ron Rossetti is back in first place in PRD Grand Masters with a win this past weekend. John Bush trails by just 14 points.

Andrew Perry closed the gap on PRD Senior Pilot leader David Matchett, trailing by a measly 4 points.

And finally, leader Charlie Homan and runner-up Jeff Dyer are separated by just one point in TAG Senior.

The July race will certainly be exciting!!

Oops... I forgot to mention some cool little details about chassis performance. I gathered chassis data on the first three positions for each class.

In the minor classes, Top Kart leads with five chassis in the top three positions. DR and Haase trail, with three and two chassis, respectively.

In the adult classes, Tony Kart and CRG Kart are tied for first place with 11 chassis each in the top three positions. Arrow trails with a total of six chassis in the top three positions.
