Kalgard Race Report # 1 into Race #2
Hello and welcome to the KalGard
Lubricant Race report update, I'm your host Elbert Thompson and wanna thank all of you for joining use here at CalSpeed Kart Facility in Fontana, California on this beautiful March 13th of 2011.
As the sun rose slowly, the line at the front gates at CalSpeed began to back up as the clock approached 6:15am. The traffic director was out with signs and providing answers to questions and directing folks to the sign up booth were there were greeted with friendly faces of the LAKC customer service team.

Welcome back race fans:
The Drivers meeting has been completed, your flag man Taylor has provided track instruction, the tech crew lead by Gene has given strick instructions to each of the competing classes and Empire Karts (www.empirekarts.com
) steps up and offers a $25.00 gift certificate to the 8th Place finisher of each class. Eight Place? Maybe it's Sharons favorite number.
Well there are 13 groups of karts participating in todays racing including the KalGard
sponsored Spec Honda, Open Shifter and the DeluXXe Shifter classes.
Coming into todays race, the DeluXXe class is lead by the MTA team driver number Sixty-Six (#66) kart of Rick McAllister, followed closely by Number Ninety-four(#94) of Sal Menudiado supported by Live the Life and charging kart number Eleven (#11) of Kevin Gilroy. Todays DeluXXe Class has 1 additional driver that didn't compete in the February race, which is the "German Superstar" driver Kart #86X Mike Goebel. Mike will be interviewed by phone after this race as he will immediately board his helicopter which will take him back to the Ontario Airport for his return back to Germany this evening. Todays DeluXXe Shifter Class will have a total of Eight Drivers and will driver must be 40 years old and weight a minimum of 430lbs after each track session or will be disqualified.

Class is the Open Shifter Class which after One race is being lead by the #1-7-2 kart of Troy Butts, followed closely by the number Fifty Five (#55) of Roy Montogomery who was very impressive during the February Race and currently in the third spot is the Seven (#7) Kart of John Cram. Todays Open Shifter Class will be minus top driver Troy Butts, Tim Wyatt, Jason Chot and James Butts as the time change must have thrown them for a yellow Flag Caution. See you guys next month.

class is the fasted class with the largest number of participant, the Spec Honda Class. The class leaders are a father and son Team with Billy Musgrave driving Kart #Three Twenty Two (#322) and father Willy Musgrave driving the number Four Twenty Two (#422) for Team MTA. The current 3rd place driver is no chump and has switched chassis this season, that is Eric Nelson kart number Eight-Six (#86) follow closely by the forth place kart of Peter Abba.
These classes are lined up for some exciting racing today and some great speeds, you have approximately 120 seconds before the racing starts, grab your chips, your drink and a pillow as we will be right back after a another word from our sponsor KalGard
