Post 1 for 1 for PSL So-Cal and their new developed CRG
Race Tech Development

September 17, 2012 - Launching under the new name, PSL Karting So-Cal earlier in 2012, longtime karting industry member Francois Doran looks to bring the PSL image and results to the California karting market. Promoting the full line of CRG chassis from Kid Kart to 125cc Shifters, PSL Karting So-Cal operates a race team, engine shop, driver development program and kart storage center in their Southern California facility. Taking on their most recent project, PSL Karting So-Cal began research and development work to design a CRG model that would help suit the needs of the California karting community. With multiple changes, the chassis found its way to the top step of the podium a few weekends ago and the team is comfortable with the progress.

Owned and operated by Francois Doran, the now California resident began karting in Montreal, Quebec back in 1990 driving for eleven seasons. Moving to California in 2002 and participating locally for the following two years, Doran decided it was time to make the move and open his own business in the sport that he loved. Opening PSL Karting So-Cal in early 2012, Doran and his team immediately went to work on designing a CRG chassis to accommodate the slick CalSpeed Karting center. Working with team drivers and running countless laps and days of testing, PSL Karting So-Cal's main focus was to make winning easier for their customers.

After several months of research and development, the first CRG chassis specifically made for PSL Karting So-Cal was delivered in June of 2012. Designed for the CalSpeed Karting circuit in Fontana, California, PSL Karting So-Cal was still not comfortable with the changes and some more development work was done on the chassis. Taking it's first green flag at an LAKC event in early September, team pilot Dylan Stalker would qualify on the pole position and go on to win the heat race by an astounding 13 seconds. Fellow PSL Karting So-Cal driver Carlee Taylor made it a one-two result for PSL in qualifying taking the second position. Stalker, seven-tenths faster than the second place driver per lap, also went on to grab the main event victory.

Doran added, "Stalker is a great driver and if it wasn't for his feedback, this chassis that we have been working on for this kind of racing surface would not be as good as what it is. For the final race, we will be testing another chassis change and with that, our eight race testing program will be complete. I am confident that 2013 will be a winning season for PSL Karting So-Cal."
