The Los Angeles Karting Championship wants to apologize to all of our racers, their families,
our sponsors, and workers for the long delay during our opening day race on February 12th. It
made for a very long day for all of us. In retrospect, it is easy to see that we should have made
allowances for an event on such a tightly scheduled short winter day. The LAKC board of directors
will take it as a lesson well learned and apologizes to everyone for the inconvenience.

We feel especially bad about the PRD Pro, Rotax Senior, and Tag main event getting shortened
for safety reasons with the approach of darkness. While the Mack Motorsports prize of $1,000 was
awarded to the winner, we think many of the racers who worked hard at preparing for the Pro race
were not given a fair chance in so few laps. With this in mind, LAKC is posting another $1,000
winner-take-all prize for the PRD Senior race at our May event. The race will take place at
CalSpeed on Sunday, May 20. We look forward to seeing you there.

By the way, I'm still being 'inconvenienced' from it...

I hear the Masters are now starting together with the Pilots spaced back... well done, I think I might have mentioned that the week BEFORE the 'very long day' of the February race.

Glad to see the race is back on, I may try and get out there to watch the April race if possible otherwise May sounds like the race to watch.
