Hi all, new to all this so I apologize in advance for any silly questions.
We have a Italkart Primo for our 6 year old son who's just started karting. We replaced the Comer with the new Honda GXH50. We are the first and only currently who have this setup locally so we have no one to compare to. I have a couple questions to those of you who have some experience.
1. When we swapped out the Comer and put in the Honda we noticed the throttle travel for the Honda was almost non existent, especially if we use the fulcrum setup HPD recommends. Is this the same for everyone or have we installed the throttle assembly wrong?
2. From a stand still, the engine takes what seems like an incredible amount of time to get momentum. This also translates to very poor acceleration out of tight corners. I put a Youtube link here showing him doing some exercises that show how long it takes to get going from a standing start. Note that he is at full throttle right from the start.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0oSom2SiV4
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
