$700, $500 and $300 is the minimum prize money for first thru third for each of the shifter classes. After we hit 225 total shifter entries between all 3 shifter classes, Kal-Gard will contribute another $20 per entry to the prize fund. We will be upadating the amout of the purse as the season progresses. If anybody has questions, please contact me at 562 420-1494.

Birel Driver coming to DeluXXe Shifter Class
Recevied a call from the Northern Distributor of Birel Karts to obtain information regarding the DeluXXe Shifter class.
Birel has informed me that they will be sending one of their heavy hitters to join in the DeluXXe Shifter class beginning April 10th Race #3 and that The SuperStars from All continents as well as Team Sunny Delight (Orange Helmet Crew) should be on High Alert.
Birel enters into this class to do battle with the Chassis manufactures to overtake the crown for additional heavier drivers for preparation for Larger events in Vegas and Europe.
it is rumored that the driver will be racing out of the FTK camp and Drivers' name to be released at a later date.
Hot off the RacingEntertainmenTofCaliforniA wire.

 Looking for place to race
I have been involved in kart racing and truck racing since mid 70's and have recently moved to San Diego from Virginia. I run a 250 Superkart and wanted to know what racing was available for the experienced (older) normal sized (heavier) guys who still love kart racing.

Lloyd,
Our DeluXXe class might be a good option for you. The weight is 430# with a minimum age of 40. If that does not work for you, we also have the Spec Honda class and Open Shifter classes that are both open to racers 16 and up at a weight of 395#. Which ever way you choose to go, you will find that LAKC is a good low cost way to run with some of the best racers in southern California.
If there is anything I can help with, please give me a call.

 Getting in on the fun
I certainly meet the 40 year age requirement and the 430# weight is not a problem, but would the cr250 single on my kart bother anyone?

Your 250 would bother every single one of us. If you want to race at LAKC, get yourself a 125.
