Post June Race
Track layout for the June race??

Another couple questions about the rules LAKC has in place for PRD Spec:

"RADIATOR:
Only radiators unmodified as supplied by PRD with the engine are legal.
Water pump must be axel driven."

-So I can't alter the mount to make the radiator sturdier?

"IGNITION:
LAKC Local Battery Option – Open to other than stock and to fit in
OEM battery mount."

-What if the battery I choose to run fits in the stock mount but I am running a non OEM mount for my battery? This is in reference to running the chassis clamped Rotax style battery mount or Leapord style mount.

Just a curious camper.

The course is printed on our raceday schedule. You can find it here:

http://www.lakc.org/content/downloads.html

You can also find it on the Calspeed Karting website calendar.

I will see if we can get our race director to respond to your other questions. Last resort, see him early in the day before your post tech inspection.

Shall you be interested in running with zero risk:

///

1: Unmodified means run the radiator the way it's supplied.

2: The rules require you to run the OEM battery box/mount, so fit shouldn't be a question.

///

Otherwise, you can operate at your own risk (of a post-tech DQ). Hope this helps. When in doubt, I would encourage you to see/talk with Gene prior to the qualifying/heat 1 session on race day. He is there early, and you should be able to get a few minutes of his time before or during practice.

See you on Sunday.
