 RIP Gene Severino
Gene Severino passed away yesterday after a 7 month battle with cancer. Gene headed up our tech for a number of years as well as working with other local and national series. He is survived by his wife, Linda, as well as by a daughter, two sons, and many grand kids. Gene will be missed by all that knew him.

 Re: RIP Gene Severino
Gene was one of my best friends. I have known him for the past 13 years. I also had the pleasure of working with him for the last 5+ years in tech at just about every track on the west coast. When my father died last year Gene helped me through a very rough time in my life. Love him or hated him everyone respected him. You will dearly be missed by me. Rest in peace buddy!

I'm still in shock, we have truly lost a great grandfather, dad, husband in Gene, as well as a freind. He was always fair, quiet and correct. I will miss him. Best wishes to his family. RIP Gene I'm sure there's someone up there with an illegal chaingard, get em! Peace

RIP Gene. It was a pleasure learning the comer 80 rules from you. I had so many unintentional infractions and he warned me everytime. Never a DQ. Im sure theres a track up there where he will work at.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to know him as well as some of you guys; however, it was always a pleasure to run into him in tech area - he was always fun to chat! I will race on the 15th - in honor of Gene - and I will dedicate my victory to him. I wish much strenght to his family (and loved ones left behind) during this challenging time. My very best, Alex

It is a very unfortunate thing for us all to face mortality. It's just supposed to be something we do at a ripe old age and not in our prime. Gene was a solid guy that did his job very well with no B.S. I wish we could all have the pleasure of working with men of his caliber. We wish his family well. Chris LaTorre
