Due to changes in how insurance is being handled on LAKC weekends in 2013, CalSpeed is no longer able to issue 2-day wristbands (driver or pit) on Open Practice the Saturday prior to LAKC races. CalSpeed will issue a 1-day wristband to both drivers and pit/spectators that is valid only on Saturday. The registration hours and pricing are as follows:

Gates open: 8:30am
Practice starts: 9:00am
Practice ends: 5:00pm

Driver Pass: $45 ($5 discount for LAKC members with valid club membership card)
Pit Pass: $12
There is no PM pricing on Saturdays prior to LAKC races
CalSpeed accepts cash, MasterCard, Visa, and personal checks with valid identification. All checks must be made payable to "CalSpeed Karting" and will not be accepted with any other payee (corrections, cross-outs, or multiple payees will not be accepted).

LAKC may elect to open race registration on Saturday afternoon/evening. Please check with the LAKC for details.

hope this doesnt result in longer/slower lines at the registration trailer sunday morning because now everyone that shows up will be needing bands again for raceday.

for many club members who prac. on sat. before, it was great already having the band for sun. especially if pre-registered for club race.

LAKC will have registration open on Saturday but not until the bulk of the drivers get through the gate. We will open Saturday around noon or so pending the flow of the lines. This will allow you Sal to just drive though Sunday morning just like you did last year.
The catch, you will need to sign the waiver again (different insurance co) and you will pay LAKC.
We only accept cash and check so if you want to use your credit card you need to pre-reg.
If you did pre-reg you will come see the LAKC registration staff around noon.

I paid for my membership but never received my membership card. Will these be available for pickup on Saturday?

Yes and if not you will be on a list.

Whatever you guys do on Sunday morning is fine by me. Just make sure clear the way for me upon my arrival. I can't stand lines and I have the right to go first, always!
