Post Rotax in TaG for 2014
LAKC has worked out a plan to allow Rotax to run in the TaG class with 2013 rules.

After reviewing the recent decision and receiving input from a number of our sponsors and membership about not wanting to have to run with any other organizations, we worked out a deal. We are not sure what will happen in 2015 but for now we welcome all Rotaxians to come run with the best. Our 2014 TaG Senior and Masters lineup is looking to be a full house. We will also allow the New IAME X30 as a local option in TaG. The weight is TBD until more testing is completed.

In the next few days we will continue to explain all of our plans and giveaways for the season.

So will the weights be 375 and 395 per the 2013 rules?

Post Re: Rotax in TaG for 2014
There needs to be a clarification of the 2013 rules for the Rotax carburetor. SKUSA had been following R-Max rules for the engine but deviated from that at the beginning of last year due to a shortage of the carb jets required to conform to the updated R-Max rules. At that time, SKUSA wisely delayed the implementation of the new carb rules until 2014. So which is it for the carb, 2012 R-Max rules or 2013 R-Max rules? The best thing for racers would be the current rules since that is what they have to run at other events.

Rotax class will follow the 2013 SKUSA rules for weight and tech.

All Rotax information can be found on our "Rules" page under the Rotax Reference section.

20.3.4.6. Rotax Engines: All engine components and installation
requirements are to meet USRMC rules. Exception: The 2012
USRMC carburetor rules will continue to be used thru the
balance of 2013. All other 2013 USRMC rules will be utilized
starting May 1, 2013. Note that this only applies to Rotax
engines used in SKUSA classes (TaG Senior and TaG Master).

So it looks like the carb rules are as follows 8.5 venturi 3.6 floats 60/60 pilots or 12.5 venturi 5.2 floats 30/30 pilots.
