 MICRO MAX!
One of the hot topics I hear about at LAKC races is the new Micro Max program.
Once again, I will have my FTK/birel Micro Max available at Fontana on Saturday for test drives.
I would love to get this program jump started. I have a few ideas.
If you are interested, please stop by the FTK pit this weekend.
Thanks,
Andy

So, what's the status with MicroMax for next year??
Will there be a class?
What's the alternative for those of us who have micromax karts?
My daugher is 8, so she is too old for kidkart, but too young for minimax.
She loves her micromax kart, and the push button start is awesome for both of us.

 Micro Max
Dom,
The age range for Micro Max is 7-10 years. As Chris posted earlier, LAKC is not planning to offer the class next year.

So, is there basically no option to run at LAKC with an 8 year old kid and rotax?
That's a real bummer if that is the case. I really do not care to go the Comer or HPV route with my daughter.
Can the minimax class be opened to younger drivers?

Dom (and any other lurkers out there),
With enough interest, the GATORZ Karting Cup will offer a MicroMax class for 2009, not including the 2 driveaway Challenge of the Americas races, or the Streets of Willow.
This would be comprised of 6 races, 3 of which at CalSpeed.
Call FTK at 714-289-0432 for more details.

I was under the impression Micro Max would be part of the LAKC program. (?)
Is there a reason? I'm trying to avoid JR1 & looking at a clean used Mini Max to convert, sorry Andy can't do brand new but it is a Birel.

 Mini Max
Dom,
My earlier post was incorrect. Your 8 year old can run Mini Max at next year. Here is what the rules say:
Mini Max Participant must be have reached 8th birthday before competing in a local RMC event. To compete in 2008 CCRKC Grand Nationals 9th birthday must be prior to Sept 1, 2008 (DOB prior to 9-1-1999).
We hope to see you at our first race of the new season on January 18.
