Triing to find out what helmets are legal for 2013 & forward

I believe lakc series rule #13 still holds true for the 2013 season.

Thanks, Finally getting answers. But the LAKC helmet rules conflict with IKF 2012 rules
and SKUSA 2012 rules on helmets. In there rules helmets with a SFI /2005 are good until 2015 and SFI helmets /2010 are good until 2020. Why do I need to buy a new helmet just for LAKC.

As an example, here's what SKUSA & IKF allow (per rule book)
along with: Snell Foundation Specifications:

Snell: K98 (exp 12/31/2014); K2005 (exp 12/20/15); K2010;
M2005 (exp 12/20/15); M2010 (exp 12/20/20); SA2005 (exp 12/20/15);
SA2010 (exp 12/20/20); CMR-2007 (youth helmet/exp 12/20/15);
CMS-2007 (youth helmet/exp 12/20/15); SFI: 24.1 (youth helmet/exp 12/20/12);
24.1/2005 (youth helmet/exp 12/20/15); 24.1/2010 (youth helmet/exp 12/20/20);
31.2A (exp 12/20/13); 31.1/2005 (exp 12/20/15); 31.1/2010 (exp 12/20/20);
41.1/2005 (exp 12/20/15); 41.1/2010 (exp 12/20/20);
41.2A (exp 12/20/13); British: All must have been manufactured in
2001 or later: BS6658-85 Type A (exp 12/20/13) or
BS6658-85 Type A/FR (exp 12/20/13).


Here is what LAKC allows:

13. All required safety equipment must be worn when driving. All long hair must be tucked in. Helmets must be full face type and designed for competitive motorsports and must comply with one of the following: Snell 2005 SA and M or better helmets are now required for the 2011 racing season. Any helmets found to be older than what is stated below will not be acceptable for the race: Snell 2005 SA and M, 2005 K, CMS2007 (youth helmet), CMR 2007 (youth helmet), M 2010,SA 2010 and SFI 24.1 (youth Helmet), 31.2a, 41.2a, 24.1/2005 (youth Helmet),31.1/2005,41.1/2005, 24.1/2010(youth helmet), 31.1/2010, 41.1/2010. A proper fit is essential especially for young drivers. Neck collars are mandatory and no modification is allowed to Neck collars. ALL Cadet Drivers must wear a chest protector per IKF rules. More helmet regulation apply per IKF rule #105.1.6. Helmets and all head gear such as balaclavas must be removed prior to entering scales

LAKC's language is "Any helmets found to be older than..." So, both the SFI 24.1/2005 and SFI 24.1/2010 are allowed for the 2013 LAKC season. Best to wait for an official spokesperson to chime in....don't go on my interpretation!

WE follow IKF rules when it comes to helmets period. If its legal at IKF its legal at LAKC, BUT you have mis read what we have wrote. "Any helmets found to be older than..." older then what we posted.
